1. Create the product feed
Before connecting your store to Fruugo, you first need to create and configure the feed. To do this, log in to your Shopify store admin and follow these steps:

- Go to Apps > Mulwi Feeds > Feeds.
- Click Add Feed to generate the new feed.
- Choose the Fruugo feed template. The feed is created in XML format.
- In the pop-up window, select which product data to use as feed content and click Create. You can change this later in the Feed content field of the feed's general settings if necessary.
- Set feed's status in the This feed is currently block to Active.
- Fill in the general feed information:
- Feed Internal Name. Give your feed a descriptive name.
- Filename. Give your feed file a unique name.
- Max Number of Items per File. Limit the amount of products in the feed.
- Compression. Compress the feed file if necessary.
- Protect feed with password. Password-protect your feed if necessary.
- In the Applied Filters section, you can use product filters to choose what products should be included in the feed.
- In the Template section, pick appropriate values for Fruugo's required Attributes:
- VAT Rate (only for EU VAT-registered businesses). Specify the VAT rate that applies to your products in your VAT registration country. Enter it as a numeric value without the percent sign (for example, 20 for a 20% VAT).
- Language Code. Specify the two-letter ISO 639 code of the language of your feed's product data. For example, enter en if the product information (titles, descriptions, etc.) in the feed is in English.
- Size. Select all the attributes that indicate the product's size.
- Color. Select all the attributes that indicate the product's color.

Filling out required attributes in a Fruugo feed template
- In the Source of prices section, you can set product prices from Markets or Price Lists.
- In the Stock Locations section, select from which locations you want to include stock levels and availability information.
- In the Translation section, you can select a language to translate your feed into.
- Configure the Google Analytics section if you have an analytics campaign.
- Click Save at the top of the page to finish and generate the feed.
NOTE
You won't be able to change the Filename after you save the feed.
After saving the new feed, you can customize it if necessary.
You will also be able to map your categories to the Fruugo Taxonomy. To do that, fill out the Fruugo Product Category field in the feed's Template section.

If your products have the same category, use Static Category. Start typing the category name or ID and choose the appropriate category from the dropdown menu. For multiple categories, use Category Mapping.

2. Connect your store to Fruugo
You connect your store to Fruugo through a respective account on Fruugo Retailer Portal.
To register on Fruugo Retailer Portal, follow these steps:

- Go to the Fruugo page for sellers.
- Click Sign up.
- Choose Register as your option to continue onboarding.
- Fill out your account details, such as Company registration country, Company name, Login email, and Password.
- Click Register to finish the registration.
Afterwards, wait for Fruugo's staff to verify and activate your Fruugo retailer account. Your personal Fruugo integration manager will then help you complete the setup of your new account, including connecting a product feed.
3. Upload the feed to Fruugo
Only Fruugo’s team can change the product feed connected to the platform.
To connect a new product feed to your Fruugo retailer account, you need to send the feed URL to your Fruugo integration manager.
Where to find the Fruugo feed URL in Mulwi?
You copy the Fruugo feed URL from Mulwi in such way:
- Navigate to the Fruugo feed you need.
- Find the Feed block.
- Click the Copy feed URL button.
As a result, the Fruugo feed URL will be copied to your clipboard.
Fruugo's tech team will then review your feed, connect it to the platform, and publish products from the feed on the marketplace.

How to filter products in the Fruugo feed?
You can control which products to include in your Fruugo feed using product filters. You simply have to create a filter and apply it to your Fruugo feed.

How often does Mulwi update products in the Fruugo feed?
Mulwi updates products in your Fruugo feed each time something is changed in your Shopify store. Mulwi instantly detects the new data and immediately includes it in the feed.
Your products on Fruugo will be refreshed with the latest information as soon as Fruugo fetches an updated feed.
How to add GPSR Safety Information to the Fruugo feed?
The General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) regulates the health and safety standards for most non-food consumer products sold in the EU. It replaced the General Product Safety Directive starting December 13, 2024.
Fruugo retailers who sell in the EU, Switzerland, Norway, and Northern Ireland must specify safety information for the GPSR-regulated products in the feed.
In Mulwi, you provide GPSR Safety Information in the Fruugo feed using optional attributes named Attribute1–Attribute10.
How to add GPSR Safety Information to the Fruugo feed in Mulwi
- Navigate to the Fruugo feed you want to configure.
- Find the Template section.
- Select the situation you're facing and follow the provided instructions:
- If your feed is already customized, click Edit template to open the feed template editor.
- If you haven't customized your feed yet, click Customize Feed, carefully read the warning and click Continue. After that, Mulwi will redirect you to the template editor of your newly customized feed.
- Add all the optional attributes you need according to the Fruugo GPSR Safety Information feed specification.
